The
Leicester Arms has seven en-suite rooms, two four poster rooms,
three doubles and a single. Each has television, andtea
& coffee making facilities.
The Kings Bar makes an ideal private conference room for up
to 20 people. The staff are friendly and only too willing to
make sure your special occasion is one you enjoy and always
remember fondly.
The
Leicester Arms, once was part of the Penshurst Estate, was formerly
owned by Sir William Sidney, Grandfather of Poet and Statesman
Sir Phillip Sidney. Sir Williams other grandson, Viscount De
L`isle was appointed Earl of Leicester 1n 1618 and is was shortly
after this that the Leicester Arms, formerly known as The Porcupine
was renamed in his honour.
The
Leicester Arms was sold by the De L`isle and Dudley family in
1912 and is now privately owned. Situated in the beautiful village
of Penshurst the Inn is considered to be one of the most picturesque
in Kent.
